TONY KHOO

Chef Tony has worked for many years at a variety of world-class hotels in his home country Singapore and in China. His list of culinary awards are endless, they include most outstanding chef in the 7th FHA in 1997 were he won 3 gold medal at once. He was as well the team captain at the Culinary World Cup in 1998 with the Singaporean National team, were they were competing against 19 other countries and became to overall winner, just to get another gold medal. Apart from being a WACS approved judge since 2000, Chef Tony also co-authored in 1996 a cook book, called ’’the great book of rice’’, and was awarded the golden feather by the gastronomic academy of Germany.

In 1993 he led the Singaporean team to the world cooks tour for hunger in South Africa. In 1998 in Melbourne, Australia he participated as the Singaporean Chef in the WACS global chef and won another bronze medal. He is currently a coach to the Singaporean Culinary national team.

Chef Tony has been judging since back in 1998 when he was the first time a culinary judge in Singapore, and since then be called to contest in, Perth, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Manila, Seoul, Penang, Kula Lumpur, Bangkok, Dubai, Shanghai and the Culinary Olympics in Germany.

Presently Chef Tony overseas and directs all aspects of the kitchen, stewarding operation of all F&B outlets & Ballrooms Marina Mandarin Hotel in Singapore. Responsible for the production, preparation and presentation of all food items to ensure highest quality at all times.
