PETER CHAN WENG SENG PJM

Chef Peter comes with over 25 years of culinary experiences working in various hotels (3, 4 & 5 stars properties) and restaurants. Peter have acquired strong basic western culinary technique from working with various continental chefs along the way and incorporating the Asian inherits which he was born into, to the specialized cuisine he presents.

Chef Peter is very active in promoting Ethnic Cuisine especially Nyonya / Strait & Malaysian Cuisine whereby he had participate in many food promotions in many parts of the world.

During his service in the industry, he had received many commendations and one of them was the “Best Hotel in Asia Pacific” award. Chef Peter holds a Diploma in Professional Chef Training whereby as can be seen many of his trainees are now Chefs in various hotels.

He’s a well know driving force of the culinary scene in Penang and especially in the Malaysian Chefs Association, Penang Chapter, where he’s there Hon-Secretary.

Chef Peter has himself also participated in the culinary contest scene with Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok to name some.

Chef Peter has been a active member in the WACS movement here in Asia, as Penang has hold a WACS Board meeting in Asia back in 1996, also he has bee attending a WACS Judges seminar, and has judged in Various local and international competitions in the past 10 years.

Chef Peter Chan Weng Seng is currently the culinary director of one of the leading hospitals on Penang Island.
