LUCAS GLANVILLELucas Glanville, an Australian national began his career 22 years ago with his formal culinary training at Slough College in the UK. After a classical up bringing at Mayfair’s “Le Gavroche” Lucas ventured back to Melbourne to run the kitchen at “Browns” restaurant and after 3 years won the coveted “Best Restaurant of Australia Award”.
After spending some time at “The Point” on Albert Park Lake and Uber chic city restaurant “The Republic”, Lucas moved to Asia heading up the mega award winning restaurant mezza9 at the Grand Hyatt Singapore as there chef de cuisine.
Lucas Glanville joined the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok as Executive Chef in July of 2005. He oversees the ten restaurant and bar trend-setting concepts with in the hotel. The specialty cuisines include International, Cantonese, Italian, Thai, an Asian Noodle House and also a Wine and Champagne Bar.
Lucas Glanville is well known in Thailand’s culinary scene and has hold many events in the Grand Hyatt hotel, such as the 1st Bangkok world gourmet summit in 2007 and been invited to other events such as this in Singapore and back to Australia. He has annually the Chaine des Rotisseurs dinner under his helmet at the Hotel.
Chef Lucas has been taking part in culinary events in the past and has been judged in Bangkok 2007 for the culinary gathering
