Kurt von Buren

Born and trained in Switzerland, Kurt worked in many five star Hotels and Leading Hotels of the World in Luzerne and various Ski resorts in Switzerland. He also worked in various Restaurants including, Old Swiss House, and opened the star approved Linde Restaurant in Zug. Before leaving for Australia he completed another apprenticeship as Dietarian Chef in the state hospital.

In Australia he worked as Executive Chef for Park Royal Hotels, South Molle Island Resort and opened the Norwest International Hotel. Kurt was also twice awarded Bronze Medal in the Salon Culinaire, Sydney 1990 and 1994.

Kurt is actively involved in culinary Judging for organizations such as HTN, TAFE, ACF Apprenticeship Competitions and Cordon Bleu. He also participated in the WACS approved FHA judging seminar in Singapore 2006 and has become the Chairman of Judges ACF NSW in 2007
