KURT BRUESCHWEILER

Born in Switzerland in a large family with 4 brothers and one sister, whereby two of he’s brothers also working as chefs all over the world, this probably inspired him into this profession that took him half way around the world.

His Career started in a lake side Hotel in his native Switzerland and brought him into many kitchens of famous 4 and 5 Star Hotels in Switzerland’s tourist hotspots.

As a young chef he always wanted to work overseas and he’s first Asian experience started in Kuala Lumpur continued in Malaysia’s Borneo, followed by 9 years in Thailand’s renowned Rose Garden Hotel and resort. A four year stint in Rangoon’s only five stars Hotel Sedona followed, before moving into Airline Catering to Karachi in Pakistan. Chef Kurt is presently Executive Chef of Karachi’s flight Kitchen. Chef Kurt is a member of Swiss Chefs Association, Chain des Rotisseurs, Office bearer of Thailand Chefs Association for 8 years and been involve in the Organization Committee of eight Culinary Gatherings in Bangkok.

Kurt Brueschweiler has attended various WACS Regional and world Meetings, as well as WACS Judges Seminar.

The culinary judging has brought him to Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and Sri Lanka. His culinary teams have successfully participated in diverse Black Box Competition, and national events.
