URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Bangkok, 1st May 2009

Dear Participants, Culinarians and Colleagues,

Owing to the global economic downturn and the recent political situation in Thailand, especially in Bangkok, with great regret we have to announce the postponement of the National Professional, National Junior and National Military contests of Asia's Culinary Cup. Once this event is resumed again, we will widely announce the reschedule to all parties concerned.

Nevertheless, the regional level individual, mini-teams and gourmet challenge contests will proceed as scheduled at the Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon. The contests are confirmed to take place from the 2nd to the 5th of September 2009.

We are not able to continue, as the situation has not been stable enough to ensure a smooth and professional running of the contest, on the other side the applications we have received does not rectify the huge amount of sponsorship we have requested from the various government agencies.

We have felt obliged to take this decision despite the many requests we have received, and the overwhelming interest and support from sponsors.

On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to thank you for your kind understanding and continuing support for this event. We are confident that the situation is now starting to return to normal and hope you will accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
